Iterative Experiment #3

"In a series of experiments with multiple materials, I selected the material of Basswood and then selected a verb that challenged the natural constructional logic of that material, which was warp. Warping in wood renders it useless or less valuable and harder to work with. By taking advantage of how wood fibers across a grain hold synthetic basswood together, I warped 1/32" basswood sheets into the model you see here. The geometry is akin to a knot in a tree. Others attribute it to the Female anatomy. I accept either of these interpretations."
